Workflow of anilox roller carton printing machine

Carton printing machine can be roughly divided into gear drive and DC servo motor drive. At present, gear transmission is widely used.

Carton printing machine is generally composed of paper feeding department, printing department, slotting department, die cutting department and paper receiving department.

1. Paper feeding Department:

The paper feeding mode of carton printing machine can be divided into three modes: chain feeding, back kick feeding and leading edge feeding.

A. The printing press with chain paper feeding mode is gear driven, which belongs to a low-grade model. The paper feeding adopts manual paper placement one by one, which is very efficient. For chromaticity, the paper feeding accuracy cannot be guaranteed. The ink wiping method is rubber stick. Generally, metal anilox roller is used.

B. The printing press with back kick paper feeding mode is also gear driven. Its working principle is that the eccentric wheel drives the connecting rod, which drives the kickboard to move back and forth to achieve the paper feeding effect. The paper kicking stroke is about 300-400mm (according to different models, the paper kicking stroke is also different). After the paper kicking is completed, the front end of the paper is in contact with the paper biting wheel. Then, the paper is transferred to the printing department by the friction between the upper and lower paper biting wheels and the paperboard. The back kick paper feeding method has good chromatic accuracy. The efficiency is also greatly improved, generally 100-150 paperboards per minute. However, because the connecting rod is bulky, it has poor stability in high-speed operation.

C. The printing machine with leading edge paper feeding mode has two transmission modes: gear transmission and DC servo motor transmission. Its working principle is that the eccentric coupling drives the connecting rod, and the connecting rod drives the paperboard. Vacuum adsorption increases the friction between the leading edge paper feeding wheel (or belt) and the paperboard to achieve the paper feeding effect. After the paper feeding is completed, the front end of the paper is in contact with the paper biting wheel. Then, the paper is transferred to the printing department by the friction between the upper and lower paper biting wheels and the paperboard. The paper biting wheel is composed of upper and lower groups of wheels. The surface is coated with glue, one of which is fixed, and the other is to adjust the gap between the two groups of wheels by eccentric wheel, so as to clamp the paperboard and transfer it to the printing department. The hardness of surface coating plays an important role. The gap adjustment between the upper and lower wheels will affect the printing effect of paperboard.

2. Printing department:

The printing department is the heart of the printing machine. The preparation of the printing department directly affects the printing effect of the carton. Moreover, it is also required to have a certain understanding of the operators. The printing department can be divided into paper biting wheel transmission and vacuum adsorption transmission according to the different transmission modes of paperboard. The paper biting wheel transmission is a traditional transmission mode, and the chromaticity is not very accurate. And it can’t be controlled very accurately in printing. The structure is shown in Figure 1-1:

In the printing process, the pressure of the paper biting wheel directly affects the printing chromaticity and paper feeding accuracy. Too much pressure will destroy the corrugated board and leave indentation. If the pressure is too small, the paperboard is easy to move, which affects the chromatic accuracy. When the paperboard is bent and warped, it is easy to produce wave walking, which affects the chromatic accuracy.
